Fairview RidgeValley Clinic has been named the best place in the state to receive “optimal vascular care” by Bridges of Excellence (BTE), a multi-state, multi-employer coalition developed by employers, physicians and other industry experts. Fairview RidgeValley Clinic was also named no. 2 in diabetes care in Minnesota and Fairview Ridges Clinic was named fourth in Minnesota for diabetes management.
“Quality is the result of teamwork," said Troy Scott, M.D., care system medical direct for Minnesota Valley Clinics. "We are proud to have received this award which acknowledges the hard work of physicians, staff and patients."
BTE bases its designations on results of audits conducted by Minnesota Community Measurement (MNCM), a nonprofit group working to improve health care in the state. MNCM included measurements of 301 sites for diabetes and 272 sites for vascular care. Overall, 100 percent of Fairview clinics scored higher for the percentage of patients in perfect control on a combination of five diabetes measures than the Minnesota average at 17 percent. Six Minnesota clinics were named to have more than 40 percent of diabetes patients receiving optimal care to control their diabetes: Fairview RidgeValley Clinic and Fairview Ridges Clinic were among the sites.
